Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is seeking a phlebotomy technician to join our clinical team. The role involves processing samples, performing exempt screening and monitoring tests, and obtaining venous blood specimens according to Piedmont policies and procedures.

No prior experience is required, though 1 year of phlebotomy experience and EKG skills are preferred. CPT certification is a plus. This on-site position supports our in-house laboratory operations.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required; 1 year preferred.
• CP T (Phlebotomy) certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests per CMS CLIA '88, OSHA and Piedmont policies.
• Performs venipunctures and collects/prepares blood specimens as required.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
