Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA, and the Georgia Department of Community Health standards.
• Performs venipunctures and obtains/prepares blood specimens following Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School graduate or GED.
• Experience: None required.
• Licensure/Certification: None required by law; Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA, or equivalent preferred.
• Additional Skills: Basic knowledge of venipuncture/phlebotomy, clinical laboratory processes, EKGs, and healthcare or laboratory experience are preferred.
