Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis by labeling, sorting, and initial processing.
• Assist in collection, preparation, and storage of specimens.
• Perform routine laboratory tests under supervision of senior staff.
• Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Record and manage data accurately and ensure confidentiality and integrity.
• Order, stock, and manage laboratory supplies for availability.
• Follow standard operating procedures and handle chemicals properly.
• Provide administrative support by completing paperwork and filing documents.
• Assist in implementing laboratory techniques and protocols.
• Support senior staff in research, development, and quality control tasks.
• Communicate findings to laboratory manager or senior staff.
• Manage storage and disposal of hazardous materials per regulations.
• Participate in meetings and contribute to team initiatives.
• Provide technical assistance to other team members as needed.

Position Overview

Apex Skin is a physician-led and rapidly growing dermatology practice committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Laboratory Assistant to support the daily operations of our laboratory. This role assists with routine laboratory testing, specimen handling, equipment maintenance, and documentation while ensuring a safe, organized, and compliant work environment.

The Laboratory Assistant plays a key role in supporting clinical and research activities by maintaining accuracy, following established protocols, and contributing to efficient laboratory workflows. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Compensation Range

• $18.00 - $20.00/hr

Schedule
