Job summary

Minimum education is a high school diploma with at least 5 years in a hospital, reference, or physician office lab, and phlebotomy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 5 years of proven experience in Hospital, Reference, or Physician Office Lab or Lab Assistant I.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate specimen processing area to ensure collection, receipt in computer, processing and delivery of blood specimens for lab tests.
• Utilize phlebotomy decision making and problem solving to ensure timely collection of all lab orders.
• Assist in training Lab Assistant I and phlebotomist individuals.
• Coordinate lab sendouts and perform microbiology specimen processing.
