Summary: The Lab Assistant shall coordinate specimen processing area in order to ensure the collection, receipt in computer, processing, and delivery of blood specimens for Lab tests. This individual will utilize phlebotomy decision making and problem solving skills to ensure timely collection of all lab orders. The Lab Assistant will assist in training of Lab Assistant I and phlebotomist individuals. Additionally, this individual will coordinate lab sendouts and perform microbiology specimen processing.
High school diploma or equivalent required. At least 5 years of proven experience in Hospital, Reference, or Physician Office Lab or Lab Assistant I required.
Phlebotomy certification preferred
