Job summary

Pacific Diagnostic Laboratories, LLC in Goleta, CA seeks a Laboratory Assistant II for the Specimen Processing department, handling front-end pre-analytical operations and acting as the first point of contact for clients in a fast-paced laboratory setting.

Under supervision, you will process specimens, operate Laboratory Information Systems for data entry, support microbiology procedures, and assist with limited automated instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Education: Preferred: College level coursework in anatomy, physiology, chemistry and/or biology.
• Technical Requirements: Preferred: Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
• Years of Related Work Experience: Preferred: Clinical laboratory experience or comparable training and experience that provide skills to perform the job tasks competently.

Responsibilities

• Process of all types of specimens, operating Laboratory Information Systems for data entry and retrieval, providing client services, performing microbiology procedures, and limited operation of automated instrumentation.

Education
