Job summary

Aspirus Langlade Hospital in Antigo, Wisconsin, seeks a Laboratory Assistant II to perform manual and technical tasks involved in specimen collection, labeling, processing, and distribution for laboratory testing across all ages. The role includes data entry, test cancellation/crediting, and assisting in waived and non-waived tests.

Hours are full-time or 1.0 FTE, primarily day shift with generally no weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with phlebotomy training.
• Phlebotomy program beneficial.
• One year of healthcare experience required.
• BLS certification may be required.
• Phlebotomist certification beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Collect, label, process, and distribute biological specimens for testing.
• Perform data entry and manage related computer tasks.
• Cancel and credit tests as needed.
• Perform waived and non-waived testing and assist in laboratory departments.
