Job summary

St. Luke’s Hospital in Missouri is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood collection, process specimens, and support patient registration in a fast-paced laboratory.

You will use the lab computer system, prepare specimens for reference laboratories, maintain inventory, and assist with clerical duties while upholding safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• License: Phlebotomy Certification.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

Performs phlebotomy, processes patient specimens and performs patient registration. Utilizes Laboratory computer system. Prepares specimens to be sent to reference laboratories. Maintains department inventory and operates and maintains equipment. Performs various clerical duties . Adheres to patient identification, laboratory safety, and department policies and procedures. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.
