Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is hiring a Lab Assistant I in Marlborough, MA, working Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The pay range is $20.10 - $22.01 per hour. Benefits include comprehensive health plans, retirement options, and incentives.

Responsibilities include supporting the Technical Operations Department, learning lab duties, ensuring specimen handling quality, and maintaining timely documentation and attendance. Prior production exposure and a medical background are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates an ability to learn the job duties assigned to the Pre-Analytical Assistant I and understands how Tech Ops and Specimen Processing interrelate.
• Identifies problems with specimen types, missing information, sorting, racking, centrifuging, delivery, and storage, and resolves or forwards for timely resolution.
• Understands compliance policies related to test ordering and researches test order information on translation tables, computer systems, and the directory of services.
• Meets quality and production standards within 6 months of training.
• Completes required documentation clearly and timely.
• Reports to work on time and supports department performance when coworkers are absent.
• Learns additional functions to progress to the next level.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
