Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Lab Assistant I at our Daleville, IN location to provide routine laboratory services including specimen collection, processing and order entry. You will support pre-analytic workflows and help maintain accurate records in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Ideal candidates have HS graduation or GED, completed phlebotomy training, and strong interpersonal and computer skills.

Qualifications

• HS graduation or GED equivalent.
• Phlebotomy training completed (preferred).
• May require Indiana driver's license and good driving history.
• Requires working knowledge of computers and telephone skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• The Lab Assistant I provides general laboratory services including specimen collection, order entry, blood component preparation, pre-analytic processing of specimens and related clerical tasks.
• Incumbent may be responsible for patient and specimen registration and delivery of specimens.
