Job summary

Inspira Health seeks a skilled phlebotomist to provide phlebotomy services for in-house, outpatient, and off-site patients. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, ensure correct patient identification, and transport specimens according to laboratory standards.

Responsibilities include clerical duties such as entering orders in LIS and processing specimens for the core laboratory. High school diploma required; phlebotomy training preferred; ASCP/NPA certification or eligibility

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of approved phlebotomy training program preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred; hospital experience preferred.
• ASCP, NPA or equivalent certification or eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide phlebotomy services for in-house patients, outpatients, and off-site locations.
• Perform venipuncture and capillary collection; verify patient identification.
• Transport specimens and maintain chain of custody per lab standards.
• Enter patient orders into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Process specimens for the core laboratory; assist with clerical tasks as needed.

Job description

Provide phlebotomy service on in-house patients, outpatients and at off-site locations. Perform venipuncture and capillary methods on patient populations ranging from neonate to geriatric; patient identification; and specimen transport; in accordance with laboratory standards. Complete various clerical duties, including the entering of patient’s orders in the Laboratory Information System (LIS). Performs specimen processing for the core laboratory.
