Mercy Hospital Of Bakersfield is seeking a Lab Assistant to support accurate specimen collection, preparation, and processing for a range of diagnostic tests. You will follow universal precautions and ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA while maintaining high attention to detail.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy across neonate to geriatric patients, preparing slides and samples, and coordinating with the Medical Laboratory team to ensure timely results.

Formación

• Foundational laboratory procedures and safety practices.
• Ability to collect and prepare specimens for tests.
• Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure safe lab practices and universal precautions at all times.
• Collect and process patient specimens for diagnostic testing.
• Maintain phlebotomy skills for diverse patient ages.
• Prepare specimens for send-out testing and result accuracy.
• Complete training and participate in required workshops.
