Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a Lab Assistant I to support the assigned lab department and handle a variety of duties.

The role includes receiving and processing samples, stocking reagents, answering phones, and assisting with waived tests under supervision. The schedule spans Tue–Fri 7:00 AM–3:30 PM and Sat 7:00–11:00 AM.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides a wide variety of support for assigned lab department.
• Picks up samples from accessioning and sorts samples into appropriate racks.
• Answers phone and directs calls appropriately
• Unpacks and stores reagents and supplies
• Inventories and orders warehouse supply items
• Sorts samples and distributes them to the appropriate setup hood. Manages specimen library within established time frames.
• Performs waived tests under supervision
• All other duties as assigned.
