Job summary

The Great Falls Clinic Hospital in Great Falls, MT is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support pre-analytical processes and specimen handling in our clinical laboratory.

You will contribute to quality and safety, with a focus on patient experience, and may be rotated across locations as needed. The role requires phlebotomy training and some hands-on experience, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy training course required.
• 6+ months phlebotomy experience.
• Current driver's license required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, keyboard skills; strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

Position Overview

The Laboratory Assistant performs pre-analytical processes associated with collection and processing of laboratory specimens. Demonstrates a commitment to client experience, quality, and safety. Applies knowledge of laboratory operations to assist clients in utilizing laboratory services. Complies with all laboratory and safety policies. Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork are essential. May be moved amongst laboratory locations as needed.

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Phlebotomy training course

Experience

• 6+ months phlebotomy experience

License/Certifications

• Current drivers license
• ACLS certification, preferred
• PALS certification, preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Basic reading and writing skills.
• keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job.
• Interpersonal and communication skills required
