Job summary

Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc. in Alexandria, LA is seeking a Full-time phlebotomist to join our Laboratory Operations team. This role will draw blood, ensure proper specimen handling, and support patient care with accuracy and compassion.

You will work 1st shift, 40 hours weekly, in a certified Great Place to Work environment, following safety and PHI privacy protocols while using standard lab equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Training or experience in specimen collection or processing.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate common lab equipment (telephones, computers, centrifuges, alarms).

Responsibilities

• Process, prepare, route, and store laboratory specimens.
• Perform Blood Draws.
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions.
• Work in a laboratory environment with biological hazards and PPE requirements.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.

In This Role, You Will

• Perform a vital part of the patient care process by making sure laboratory specimens are properly processed, prepared, routed, and stored
• Perform Blood Draws
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions
• Work in a laboratory environment with biological hazards and PPE requirements.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control

All You Need Is

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous training or experience in specimen collection or processing
• Previous Phlebotomy experience
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, centrifuges, and audible alarms.
