Job summary

Pace Labs is seeking a Lab Assistant to provide essential support in our environmental testing laboratory in Mansfield, MA. The role involves handling glassware, supplies, and records, with training provided to grow a career in laboratory sciences.

The position emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to GLP methods, with the opportunity to contribute to important environmental science work and community safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in laboratory, warehouse, or material handling preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills and ability to maintain records, forms, and documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use tact, discretion, and sound judgment in interactions with coworkers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and stock laboratory supplies, tools, and related materials.
• Clean laboratory glassware according to GLP methods and maintain organized wash and storage areas.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver glassware, samples, documents, materials, and other items as needed.
• Assist with reviewing, completing, and processing documents, databases, and records related to sample handling and delivery.
• Support compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and laboratory procedures.
• Contribute to departmental efficiency by offering suggestions and participating as an active team member.
• Promote a positive work environment through professional, courteous, and cooperative interactions.
• Assist with general laboratory operations to support scientists and laboratory staff.
