Job summary

  • Maintains familiarity with recent publications and journals and participates in local or national professional societies and meetings where appropriate.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates commitment to a welcoming and safe environment that provides a sense of belonging for all.

Job Description: Echocardiography Lab Assistant

Department: Health and PublicService

Reports To: Dean of Health and Public Service

Pay Classification: PT Hourly

FLSA Status: Exempt

Job Summary: Responsible for the success of the total teaching/learning process within the assigned classroom laboratory.

Education: Associate’s degree within the instructional area being taught. Registry in Echocardiography.

Experience: Preferred: Experience teaching in higher education within the instructional area being taught.

Required Knowledge: Working knowledge of the guidelines of the state agency/accrediting agency for the departments with regulation from outside agencies.

Working knowledge of all regulations in adherence to required licenses and certifications.

Working knowledge of the Hill College vision and mission.

Strategic Vision and

Program Development: Contributes to the development and review of the curriculum.

Contributes to the course syllabi and textbooks adopted for each course.

Maintains familiarity with recent publications and journals and participates in local or national professional societies and meetings where appropriate.

Conducts class discussions within the scope of the course and professional competence.

Physical Requirements: Light work; exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. The use of arm and or leg controls requires exertion of force greater than that for sedentary work.
