Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our Holyoke, MA team. The position schedule is Saturday through Wednesday, 10:00pm to 6:30am, supporting laboratory workflows and specimen handling.

The role involves receiving and sorting clinical lab specimens, preparing them for testing, data entry, equipment checks, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with preferred early lab experience.

• Preferred: 3 months or more of specimen processing experience.
• Preferred: 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience.
• Comfortable with handling biological specimens and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.

Pay Range:

$20.25-$23.25/hr. + Shift Differential

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Benefits:

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
