Job summary

Johnson County Community College seeks a part-time adjunct staff member to support Anatomy Open Lab for BIOL 140, BIOL 144, and DHYG 138. The role includes assisting students, monitoring labs, and ensuring security and organization of lab contents.

Applicants must have a high school diploma, complete Human Anatomy or related course, and demonstrate strong communication. Microsoft Office experience is preferred. Evening/weekend hours and a 12-hour weekly schedule apply.

Work Schedule, Hours per week: Varies, some evening and weekend shifts, 12 hours per week

Starting Salary Range: $16.68 - $21.23 and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.

Position Summary: This position is to support the Johnson County Community College (JCCC) students enrolled in human science classes and faculty by ensuring a safe, efficient, and organized laboratory and classroom environment. The courses the Anatomy Open Lab supports are: BIOL 140 (Human Anatomy), BIOL 144 (Human Anatomy and Physiology), and DHYG 138 (Head and Neck Anatomy). The purpose of the open lab is to provide time for students to enhance their learning that has occurred in the formal classroom setting. The open lab allows students to study in groups or individually. It is not meant to replace the formal learning experience or to serve as a formal learning setting. It is to enrich the student learning process in the Life Sciences by providing them additional time to study and to review models in preparation for tests.

Must be able to lift and/or transfer 40 pounds. Must be flexible to work evening and weekend hours.
