Primary Functions

  1. Responsible for organizing and supervising blood collection work area and performing phlebotomies on inpatients, outpatients, and nursing home patients.
  2. Responsible for performing and maintaining the general clerical functions of the Laboratory, as well as assisting with the stocking and inventory tracking of general supplies used within the department.

SCHEDULE

  • FTE: .8, 2nd shift

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in phlebotomy and laboratory setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Valid Iowa driver’s license required.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to learn and navigate computer systems, including training modules, timesheet, and performance systems.
  • Fluent in English (reading, speaking, writing).
