Job summary

Dignity Health Woodland Memorial Hospital in California is seeking a Lab Assistant to support diagnostic testing by collecting, preparing, and processing patient specimens with attention to detail and safety.

You will perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and home draws, while assisting in histopathology and cytopathology workflows. A CA phlebotomy license is required, and ongoing learning is encouraged in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• CA Phlebotomist license (PHLEB:CA) required.

Responsibilities

• Adjust work habits to meet age-specific needs of customers/patients.
• Perform phlebotomy for specimen collection.
• Perform EKGs.
• Perform off-campus phlebotomy 'home draws'.
• Perform procedures as written, seeking technologist assistance when appropriate.
• Perform basic patient registration functions.
• Collect and process specimens.
• Perform Lab Assistant responsibilities in Histopathology and Cytopathology.
