Kelly is hiring a Lab Assistant for one of our food testing clients in Tustin, CA

***1 week only assignment****

• Target start: 11/9
• Duration: 5 days, with a potential 6th day on Saturday
• Headcount: 6 people for the full workweek
• Pay rate: $28.39/hour
• Target schedule: 11:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m.; schedule may shift depending on when product comes off the production line and is ready after incubation. For example, may need workers to arrive early one day, or stay late on another day.
• Overtime: Candidates should be open to working overtime.

Role and responsibilities

• Process approximately 4,000 juice samples for a special project.
• Measure pH, pour samples through a mesh sieve, make visual observations, and record data.
• Follow lab procedures and wear provided PPE.

Must-have candidate attributes

• Fully available and dependable for the entire project. Attendance is critical; call-outs are not workable for this short-term assignment.
• Flexible to any necessary schedule adjustments during the week. For example, coming in early, staying late, or working Saturday if necessary.
• Extremely punctual and responsible.
• Detail-oriented and accountable.
• Able to wear gloves and PPE; nails must not interfere with gloves. No jewelry with stones.

Preferred qualifications

• Some lab experience, whether in school or work environment.
• Familiarity with a pH meter is helpful, but not required.
• Familiarity with a lab environment.
• The hiring manager is happy to provide a letter of recommendation after the experience, if helpful.
