Job summary

Piedmont-Healthcare Eastside Medical Center is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform specimen collection and processing in a clinical setting. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and adherence to CMS/CLIA standards.

Experience with venipuncture and basic lab tasks is preferred, with opportunities to work closely with clinical staff and support non-clinical tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy knowledge and basic clinical skills.
• Experience with EKGs preferred but not required.
• Healthcare or clinical lab setting experience preferred.

Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Work Experience

• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency Preferred
