Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved phlebotomy course.
• Current BLS certification.
• Previous laboratory experience (hospital setting preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy procedures including bleeding time test, blood cultures, and blood draws from neonate to geriatric patients.
• Perform bedside glucose testing.
• Perform waived or moderate complexity Point of Care testing at the bedside.
• Assist in clerical duties: patient registration, specimen processing, and QA documentation as needed.
