Mass General Brigham is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join The Balazs Laboratory at the Ragon Institute to support immunology and infectious disease research. You will provide expert animal care, support research activities, and collaborate with investigators, veterinary staff, and laboratory colleagues.

This hands-on role involves maintaining animal records, participating in survival procedures, and ensuring adherence to institutional SOPs and welfare guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology (or equivalent experience) preferred.
• LAT certification or similar credential preferred; relevant licenses encouraged.
• 1–2 years of laboratory animal or veterinary care experience required.

Responsabilités

• Provide daily care and husbandry for laboratory animals (feeding, cleaning, living environments).
• Perform basic health checks and report signs of illness or distress.
• Assist veterinary staff with routine health assessments, medical treatments, and procedures.
• Prepare for trainings and perform basic technical skill trainings for investigators and peers.
• Take vital signs and conduct general examinations of animals.
• Maintain accurate animal records and ensure compliance with guidelines.
