Job summary

A leading animal care company in Frederick, Maryland is seeking an Animal Care Technician to focus on animal care, production, and facility upkeep. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, strong organizational skills, and a positive attitude. Responsibilities include caring for laboratory animals, ensuring their health and welfare, and maintaining records. This non-exempt role offers a salary of $18-20/hour based on experience and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Desire to work with and care for animals on a daily basis.
• Interest in animal development and breeding.
• Ability and willingness to complete paperwork as needed.
• Must be available to work weekends/holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Cares for animals including feeding, cleaning and breeding responsibilities.
• Follows protocol to ensure health and welfare of the animals.
• Keeps accurate records of breeding, feeding, cleaning and care of animals.
• Maintains sanitation of the animal buildings and cages.
