Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Lab Animal Technician to support daily animal care, environmental monitoring, and essential husbandry tasks. You will assist with treatments, record-keeping, and strict adherence to procedures in a humane, compliant environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with lab animal care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily observations of animals and environment and document findings.
• Administer prescribed treatments and interventions, including euthanasia when required.
• Maintain records of animal inventory, environmental conditions, and daily husbandry activities.
• Clean and sanitize enclosures, cages, bedding, and enrichment; provide feed and water.
• Operate washers, autoclaves, and related facility equipment.
• Receive shipments, distribute animals, and assist with supply inventories.
• Cross-train in all facility areas and assist with policy/compliance activities.
