Job summary

SolveNow LLC is seeking a lab technician to conduct chemical, biochemical, and bacteriological analyses of water and related samples. You will collect samples, operate lab equipment safely, and maintain records and reports. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and collaboration in a production environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and a willingness to gain lab certification. Temp-to-hire, $18–$20/hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: High school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license.
• Preferred: Coursework in chemistry or bacteriology, lab certification, and prior laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of chemical, biochemical, and bacteriological tests and analyses on water, wastewater, and related samples.
• Utilize laboratory equipment and materials safely and efficiently to perform required analyses.
• Maintain, clean, and care for laboratory equipment and materials.
• Collect water, wastewater, gas, and sludge samples for analysis.
• Analyze samples for various parameters such as pH, alkalinity, volatile acids, solids, dissolved oxygen, organic material, coliform bacteria, and chlorine residuals.
• Perform routine computations, maintain detailed records, and prepare laboratory reports.
• Assist in conducting pilot study activities and industrial waste testing as needed.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance protocols and laboratory safety standards.
• Use computer software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and enter data into a maintenance management system.
• Follow oral and written instructions effectively.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with colleagues and others encountered on the job.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
