Benaroya Research Institute’s Irvine Lab in Seattle seeks a Lab Aide to assist with routine lab tasks, glassware handling, media preparation, and general site upkeep. The role supports technical staff and contributes to a safe, well-organized lab environment.

The position is part-time, offering 7.5 hours per week with compensation in the $22.00–$26.38 per hour range. Prior lab experience or coursework in sciences is preferred, and a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• Rinsing and preparing glassware for cleaning
• Delivering glassware to storage areas
• Maintaining a clean and orderly laboratory area
• Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment
• Checking and replenishing supplies
• Assisting with experiments and set-up
• Assisting with some clerical duties as required

Educación

The Irvine Lab at Benaroya Research Institute (BRI) is an interdisciplinary research group that combines protein engineering, immunology, and computational approaches to better understand how antibodies interact with immune cells. The lab focuses on studying and engineering antibody proteins to better understand and influence immune responses, with the goal of improving human health. The Lab Aide will support these research efforts by maintaining a clean, organized, and well-equipped laboratory, assisting technical staff with routine laboratory tasks, and helping ensure the lab operates safely and efficiently.

This position is for 7.5 hours per week.
