Job summary

ATI is seeking a Lab Aide to join our Richland, Washington facility. This role supports melting titanium and titanium alloys to produce ingots for aerospace and medical markets, with a focus on data accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities include operating scales, sample processing, melt prep, data entry in LabTrack, and routine PM and housekeeping. Applicants should have a high school diploma, basic math and computer skills, and at least six months of lab experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow work, process, quality and safety procedures.
• Strict attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with employees, customers and management.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; knowledge of statistical software desirable.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate scales to ensure accurate material weights.
• Assist with sample processing, storage, archiving, disposal, shipping, testing, and pulling samples from furnaces.
• Conduct melt sample preparation (button melting, punch press, lathe).
• Assist with testing on lab samples using lab equipment and LabTrack data entry.
• Maintain daily check sheets and logs in the laboratory.
• Perform PM maintenance daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.
