Job description

Job Summary

Coach current NA students in preparation for the UNAR NA exam.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Follow SLTech guidelines for working with students.
  2. Keep accurate records on site.
  3. Help NA students practice their skills.
  4. Perform other related duties as requested by Program Coordinator and Instructors.
  5. Complete all required trainings.
  6. Demonstrate and support professional commitment to division, school, and college mission and values.
  7. Follow SLCC policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the Utah Nursing Assistant Registry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in Spanish.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Certified Nursing skills per UNAR guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
  • Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
