The Medical College of Wisconsin, Inc. is seeking a laboratory support assistant to provide basic lab help under direct supervision. You will help maintain sterilized glassware, operate basic equipment, and assist investigators with supply organization and data recording.
No formal experience is required, and education can be substituted if applicable. This on-site role offers opportunities to learn, participate in meetings, and support a wide range of research activities within an
Summary Under direct supervision, provide basic support to laboratory functions including maintenance, operation and inventory of equipment and supplies. Support research investigators as needed.
Appropriate experience may be substituted for education an on equivalent basis.
Minimum Required Education: Less than high school
Minimum Required Experience: No experience required
Work requires infrequent physical effort such as walking or retrieving materials.
Work Environment Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment.
Sensory Acuity Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
