Job summary

PMCS Group, Inc. seeks a Safety Manager to lead safety management for districtwide LA-area construction programs.

The role requires oversight of field teams, coordination with Owner's teams, and ensuring OSHA compliance across multiple campuses. Required qualifications include extensive GC experience in the US, CA-specific contractor experience, active SMS/CHST/CSMC or equivalent certifications, and first aid/CPR/AED.

Qualifications

• 7 years of US construction experience with a General Contractor
• 5 years in California with a Contractor or major subcontractor
• 2 years in educational project construction in a campus environment
• Experience managing field construction teams on multiple projects
• Experience on demolition, renovation, and new construction projects
• Experience with OCIP programs
• Active safety certifications must be included in resume package

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activity for the client across multiple sites in the LA area
• Report contractor safety compliance and regulate OSHA-related requirements
• Attend construction meetings and lead safety topics (toolbox talks)
• Perform daily site safety inspections and generate safety reports
• Monitor adherence to OCIP and safety policies across projects
