Job description

The La Pine Youth Education and Access Program (LEAP) connects AmeriCorps members with meaningful service opportunities that strengthen youth, families, and communities across rural Central Oregon. Members serve alongside local schools, parks and recreation programs, nonprofits, and community organizations to expand access to youth development, wellness, recreation, education, and workforce opportunities.LEAP is designed for people who want to make a tangible difference while building practical skills and exploring future career pathways. Depending on their service setting, members may support youth programs, community outreach, mentoring, recreation and enrichment activities, career exploration, workforce readiness, and other projects that increase access to resources and opportunities in rural communities.Members are supported throughout their service through structured onboarding, site-based supervision, professional development, recurring cohort gatherings, and opportunities to connect with fellow AmeriCorps members serving throughout the region. Member Duties :

The Community Outreach Liaison helps St. Vincent de Paul La Pine connect individuals and families with essential services, resources, and community support. The member will work directly with community members to help them understand available programs, identify next steps, and navigate local resources. They will also assist with maintaining current resource information, strengthening referral processes, and making service connections easier to access. In addition, the member will support community outreach events, awareness activities, and opportunities for residents to share feedback or concerns. The liaison will track outreach activities, maintain accurate service records, and work closely with SVdP staff and other AmeriCorps members to improve communication and access to support. This position offers hands‑on experience in outreach, social services, resource navigation, and community engagement.
