Job summary

The AmeriCorps VISTA program La Palma Park Partnership & Development VISTA seeks a motivated individual to help GOALS build capacity for the La Palma Park redevelopment in Anaheim, CA.

You will develop stakeholder research systems, outreach materials, and partnerships with City and community groups, while identifying funding opportunities and creating reusable grant resources to sustain impact beyond the service term.

Qualifications

• Education level: High school diploma/GED.
• Age requirement: 18+.
• Languages: English.

Responsibilities

• AmeriCorps member(s) will help GOALS develop and test sustainable systems that support the La Palma Park redevelopment initiative.
• They will research and organize stakeholders, create outreach and meeting materials, build a stakeholder database, and support community and City partnership development.
• They will also research funding opportunities, develop reusable grant and sponsorship resources, create public-information and community-engagement tools, and help gather feedback from stakeholders.
• In addition, they will assist with evaluation, documentation, staff training, and transition tools so GOALS can carry the work forward after the service term.

La Palma Park Partnership & Development VISTA

The GOALS Success Through Service VISTA project strengthens GOALS’ long-term capacity to reduce poverty-related barriers that limit low-income and at-risk children and families in Anaheim from accessing safe, consistent recreation, physical education, enrichment, and community-development opportunities during and after the redevelopment of La Palma Park. The VISTA member will develop, pilot, evaluate, and transfer sustainable systems for stakeholder research, City and community partnership development, redevelopment engagement, school and community collaboration, funding and sponsorship development, evaluation, and organizational transition. This includes creating stakeholder maps, outreach protocols, public-information materials, partnership tools, redevelopment resources, funding systems, reusable grant and sponsorship materials, and evaluation and sustainability tools that help GOALS build strong, lasting community impact.
