The candidate will translate runway and street trends into sellable denim products, create CADs and tech packs, and collaborate with wash houses and overseas vendors in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional fashion design experience, with significant hands-on denim design and development experience.
• Strong knowledge of denim fabrics, washes, finishes, garment construction, fit, and specifications.
• Experience creating complete tech packs and communicating with domestic and overseas vendors.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop trend-right, commercially relevant denim collections from initial concept through production.
• Research and interpret seasonal trends across the U.S. junior and young contemporary market.
• Translate runway trends and retailer trends into commercially successful denim products.
• Develop key denim categories, including jeans, shorts, skirts, jackets, and other denim-driven fashion items.
• Create detailed CADs, technical sketches, and tech packs with construction details and wash references.
• Work with wash houses, mills, production teams, and overseas vendors throughout development.
• Review development and pre-production samples and provide clear design direction.
