Job summary

Global Fashion Resource Inc. in Los Angeles is seeking a Denim Designer to create denim collections that mirror the brand’s aesthetic and market trends.

You will design fits, washes, finishes, and trims, and prepare sketches and tech packs for production. You will collaborate with pattern makers, production teams, and merchandising, review samples for fit and quality, and stay ahead of trends through research and material sourcing.

Qualifications

• Expertise in denim design including fits, washes, fabric selection, and garment construction.
• Proficiency with fashion design tools (Illustrator, Photoshop) and technical sketching.

• Strong understanding of trend forecasting, market research, and consumer preferences in women's fashion.
• Knowledge of fabric performance, wash processes, and denim quality standards.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Los Angeles, attend fittings, sample reviews, and vendor meetings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field, or equivalent professional experience in denim design.
• Prior experience with women’s apparel and lifestyle brands is strongly preferred.

Role Description

The Denim Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA. This role is responsible for designing denim collections that align with the brand’s aesthetic and market trends, including concepts for fits, washes, treatments, and trims. Day-to-day tasks include creating sketches and technical design packages, collaborating with pattern makers and production teams, and reviewing samples to ensure quality, fit, and construction standards. The Denim Designer will research current and emerging fashion trends, source materials and finishes, and partner with merchandising and marketing to ensure cohesive storytelling across collections. This role also involves maintaining design calendars, meeting deadlines for seasonal lines, and contributing to continuous product innovation.
