EverestDx in Plano, Texas is seeking an experienced L3 Production Support Engineer to own complex incidents across Kubernetes, Azure cloud infrastructure, and DevOps platforms. You will diagnose and resolve issues, drive permanent fixes, and implement automation to improve platform reliability.

The role requires hands-on expertise with AKS, Istio, Terraform, Ansible, scripting, and observability tools. Onsite work from the Plano office in North America is expected.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of experience in Linux, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or enterprise production support.
• Strong hands-on production experience with Linux and Kubernetes/AKS.
• Demonstrated experience with CI/CD, infrastructure automation, Terraform/Ansible, and scripting.
• Strong understanding of containers, microservices, cloud networking, security, monitoring, and distributed systems.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and coordinating cross-functional delivery.

• Support Helm deployments, release failures, configuration issues, rollback scenarios, and chart-related production defects.
• Troubleshoot Istio service mesh including traffic routing, mTLS, sidecars, gateways, virtual services, and destination rules.
• Support Terraform-based infrastructure provisioning, modules, state, dependencies, and deployment failures.
• Diagnose Azure networking issues involving VNets, subnets, NSGs, load balancers, private endpoints, DNS, routing, and connectivity.
• Manage and troubleshoot Linux servers, system performance, patching, security updates, and operational issues.
• Provide L3 support for PCF/Tanzu platforms, containers, and related enterprise infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions pipelines, agents/runners, permissions, secrets, artifacts, deployments, and release failures.
• Support Jenkins/GitLab CI environments where applicable and resolve pipeline and deployment failures.
• Support ServiceNow integrations, REST APIs, orchestration, workflows, and operational automation.
• Develop and maintain Python, PowerShell, Shell, or Bash automation for diagnostics, remediation, reporting, and operational efficiency.
• Use Prometheus/Grafana, AppDynamics, ELK, and other observability tools to correlate logs, metrics, traces, and events.
• Perform RCA for major and recurring incidents and drive permanent corrective actions.
• Lead technical discussions, mentor L1/L2 engineers, and conduct technical/design reviews where required.

Position Overview:

Provide advanced L3 production support across Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, DevOps platforms, cloud automation, and enterprise CI/CD environments. The role combines hands-on troubleshooting of Azure AKS,Helm, Istio, Terraform, Azure networking, PCF/Tanzu, Linux, observability, ServiceNow automation, DevX infrastructure, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, scripting, and backup/recovery. The engineer will act as a senior escalation point across multiple teams, driving incident resolution, RCA, permanent fixes, automation, and platform reliability.

Experience & Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in Linux, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or enterprise production support.
• Strong hands-on production experience with Linux and Kubernetes/AKS.
• Demonstrated experience with CI/CD, infrastructure automation, Terraform/Ansible, and operational scripting.
• Strong understanding of containers, microservices, cloud networking, security, monitoring, and distributed systems.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and coordinating cross-functional delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical, communication, incident-management, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience working in ITIL-aligned enterprise support environments and handling Sev-1/Sev-2 incidents.
• Act as the senior technical escalation point before engineering/product teams.
• Own incidents from diagnosis and mitigation through recovery, RCA, and permanent corrective action.
• Reduce repeat incidents through automation, monitoring improvements, self-healing, and preventive controls.
• Participate in on-call or extended support coverage as required by the operating model.
• Support platform upgrades, patching, capacity planning, vulnerability remediation, and resilience activities.
• Lead technical discussions, mentor junior engineers, and promote standard engineering and support practices.
• Maintain and improve L3 runbooks, knowledge articles, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.

• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure, CKA/CKAD, HashiCorp Terraform, Ansible, DevOps, ITIL, Linux, or other cloud/platform certifications are desirable.

• Use Prometheus/Grafana, AppDynamics, ELK, and other observability tools to correlate logs, metrics, traces, and events.
• Support backup, restore, disaster recovery, and recovery validation activities for critical platforms.
• Perform RCA for major and recurring incidents and drive permanent corrective actions.
• Lead technical discussions, mentor L1/L2 engineers, and conduct technical/design reviews where required.
