Dexian is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer III in St. Louis to enable development and operations teams with a robust, scalable, and secure platform.

You will help build foundations that empower software delivery reliably and securely across the SDLC. • Bachelor's degree in computer science or IT related field.
• Five or more professional certifications relevant to cloud, DevOps, or security.
• Demonstrated expertise in Azure ecosystem, identity, networking, and compute services.
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform, ARM templates, and Ansible.
• Strong background in CI/CD systems, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes on Azure), and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) offerings.
• Proficient in observability tooling and practices across cloud-native and hybrid environments.
• Solid grasp of cloud security practices and integrating security into infrastructure and application delivery pipelines.

Job Summary

As a Platform Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enabling development and operations teams through robust, scalable, and secure platform capabilities. You will help build the foundation that empowers teams to deliver software efficiently, reliably, and securely.

Platform Enablement & Engineering

• Design, implement, and maintain self-service platform capabilities that streamline application delivery, observability, and operational workflows across the organization
• Develop infrastructure and tooling that supports scalable CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and deployment automation using Azure DevOps, Terraform, GitHub, and ARM templates
• Standardize and automate platform operations including provisioning, configuration management, secrets management, and runtime orchestration

Observability & Reliability Engineering

• Engineer comprehensive observability solutions (logging, metrics, traces) using tools such as Azure Monitor, OpenTelemetry, and Datadog
• Implement reliability patterns and SRE-inspired practices to improve service performance, availability, and scalability

Security & Compliance Integration

• Embed secure-by-default practices into platform tooling and pipelines to support DevSecOps principles.
• Ensure that platform components and services adhere to security baselines, compliance standards, and monitoring for potential threats
• Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and technology assets against unauthorized disclosure, destruction and/or alteration in accordance with policies, standards, and procedures

Collaboration & Mentorship

• Collaborate closely with application developers, cloud engineers, data teams, cybersecurity, and product teams to ensure smooth integration of platform services across the SDLC
• Mentor team members and foster a collaborative culture of continuous learning and shared ownership

Incident Management & Operational Excellence

• Participate in incident response efforts, root cause analysis, and blameless post-mortems to continuously improve platform resilience
• Contribute to the operational support model, including participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation as needed
• Serve as an escalation point on platform monitoring, tools, and general cloud infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science in IT related field
• Five or more professional certifications relevant to cloud, DevOps, or security
• Demonstrated expertise in Azure ecosystem, including identity, networking, and compute services.
