Job summary

Resolve Tech Solutions, LLC is seeking a hands-on SAP Engineer to support SAP HANA, Basis, and related infrastructure. You will manage upgrades, kernel patches, and RFC connectivity while coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure system stability.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in SAP SUM, Linux administration, and automating patching tasks, with the ability to resolve complex multi-layer issues and provide after-hours support when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide SAP HANA DBA and production support across SAP environments.
• Perform SAP Basis administration and technical support, including monitoring and issue resolution.
• Execute SAP major and minor upgrades, including planning, execution, and validation.
• Utilize SAP SUM for upgrades and maintenance activities.
• Patch and maintain RHEL OS; automate patching with shell scripts.
• Support SAP kernel upgrades and system patching.
• Troubleshoot RFC connectivity and external interfaces between SAP and external apps.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, network, security, and app teams to resolve issues.
• Participate in planned maintenance, system refreshes, upgrades, and infra changes.
• Follow change-management processes and on-call support when needed.

Job Description – SAP HANA / Basis Support Engineer Role Overview

The resource will work closely with Mustafa and George and will be responsible for day-to-day SAP technical operations, system maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and infrastructure-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide SAP HANA Database Administration (DBA) and production support across SAP environments.
• Perform SAP Basis administration and technical support, including system monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Execute SAP major and minor upgrades, including planning, preparation, execution, and post-upgrade validation.
• Hands-on experience with the SAP Software Update Manager (SUM) tool for SAP upgrades and maintenance activities.
• Perform RHEL OS patching and maintenance, including using Linux shell scripts to automate and streamline patching activities.
• Support SAP system kernel upgrades, patches, configuration changes, and technical maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and support external system integrations and connectivity, including handshake and connection-related issues.
• Strong experience with SAP RFC configuration, troubleshooting, and connectivity between SAP systems and external applications.
• Analyze technical logs and coordinate with infrastructure, network, security, and application teams to resolve complex issues.
• Participate in planned maintenance activities, system refreshes, upgrades, and infrastructure changes.
• Follow established operational procedures, change-management processes, and production support standards.
• Provide on-call or after-hours support when required for critical maintenance and production activities.

• Ability to independently own technical activities from planning through implementation and validation.
