POSITION PURPOSE

The day shift mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, assembling, installing and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery and equipment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Performance of all jobs must be conducted safely, efficiently and accurately.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening to problems
• Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains processes at an industrial level
• Performs work orders that comply with the maintenance schedule and addresses the plant needs
• Support predictive and preventative maintenance program
• Support internal projects
• Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce quality materials output that meet product specifications and quality system requirements
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and follows the Safety Cardinal Rules
• Performs any other assignments as directed

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• 4 Years of Industrial Mechanical/Millwright Experience, Completion of Apprenticeship Program Plus 2 Years of Industrial Mechanical/Millwright Experience, or Completion of Vocational School Industrial Maintenance Program Plus 2 Years of Industrial Mechanical/Millwright Experience
