Job description

[This role is a remote role to be employed in Turkey]

Are you a recent law school graduate with strong research skills and a desire to build a career in U.S. insurance compliance? Do you work well independently, thrive on detail, and take pride in getting things right the first time? If so, we'd like to hear from you.

L&E is a leading actuarial consulting firm with over 50 actuaries nationwide and a largely remote yet "high talent" workforce. We've been providing expert services in life, health, and property & casualty insurance since 1968. With a global reach and a commitment to innovation, we deliver tailored solutions for complex financial, risk, and actuarial challenges.

YOU WILL:

  • Analyze and interpret state and federal insurance regulations, bulletins, and guidance related to life, health, and P&C products.
  • Draft and revise policy forms to ensure regulatory compliance; support the development and submission of SERFF filings.
  • Assist with producer appointment processing and licensing compliance across multiple states.
  • Conduct legal and regulatory research, summarizing findings into clear, actionable insights for internal use and client support.
  • Collaborate with actuaries and compliance consultants to support product development and meet regulatory deadlines.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of a law school or legal education program with strong academic performance (GPA of 3.0+ or "Pass" on a Pass/Fail scale).
  • Ability to work remotely with a consistent weekly schedule of 20-50 hours; must be available for at least 10 hours during standard U.S. Central Time (CST) office hours (7:30 AM - 5:00 PM CST, Monday-Thursday; 7:30 AM - 12:00 PM CST on Friday).
  • Strong legal research and writing skills; ability to interpret and apply insurance regulations.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Clear and professional communication skills-both written and verbal.
  • Experience with SERFF, DOI portals, or insurance product filings is a plus; exposure to life/health insurance preferred.

PAY, BENEFITS & PERKS:

  • 24,000 - 32,000 TRY (net), based on experience and qualifications. • Fully remote position with flexible scheduling around required core hours. • Real-world experience in U.S. insurance compliance and regulatory research. • Opportunities for professional growth, feedback, and skill-building. • A collaborative team that values precision, learning, and reliability.
