Job summary

TMS is seeking L&D nurses for a 13-week assignment in Grants, New Mexico. The role offers 36 guaranteed hours per week and focuses on labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care for mothers and newborns throughout the birthing journey.

Shift: rotating 12-hour night shifts with occasional call or overtime. Start date December 7, 2026. Openings: 2. ADN required; BSN preferred. Certifications include BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring. Experience in LDRP/Obstetrics is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum is required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certifications.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• OPS Emergency Workshop and STABLE certification required within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.
• Support laboring patients and assist with delivery and newborn assessments.
• Monitor maternal and newborn conditions and respond to changing clinical needs.
• Educate patients and families on recovery, newborn care, and transitions home.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Float to other departments when needed, with appropriate orientation and training.
