Job summary

GHR Healthcare in Omak, Washington seeks a Labor & Delivery Travel RN to provide compassionate care for mothers and newborns in a small, community-focused hospital setting. This 13-week assignment offers 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, and orientation.

Requirements include active RN license, 1 year L&D experience (2 years preferred), Cerner EHR experience, BLS/NRP, ACLS and AWHONN Intermediate preferred, willingness to float, weekend coverage every other weekend, and references.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required; 2 years preferred.
• Cerner EHR experience required.
• Critical access hospital experience required.
• BLS and NRP required; NRP may be obtained after offer but before start date.
• ACLS and AWHONN Intermediate preferred.
• References required.
• Comfort working nights and weekends with occasional floating.
• Experience in a low-volume unit with focus on patient safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns in Labor & Delivery.
• Monitor labor, delivery and recovery; respond to changes in condition.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and newborn assessments.
• Initiate IVs, administer vaccines, follow PPE protocols.
• Document in Cerner and support smooth unit workflow.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team for coordinated care.
• Adapt to a small, community-focused environment while maintaining clinical standards.

• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360–$2,480
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

Labor & Delivery Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout the Labor & Delivery process
• Monitor patients during labor, delivery and recovery, responding quickly to changes in condition
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and newborn assessments
• Start and maintain IVs, administer vaccines, and follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Document accurately in Cerner and support smooth unit workflow
• Collaborate with physicians, OB providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, coordinated patient care
• Adapt to a small, community-focused environment while maintaining excellent clinical standards
