Job summary

CARIN Alliance is seeking a Labor and Delivery Float Pool Nurse to monitor mothers and newborns across L&D units, interpret fetal tracings, and support vaginal and cesarean deliveries. You will work with a collaborative team to provide compassionate, evidence-based obstetric care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role emphasizes rapid response to obstetric emergencies, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and educating families about labor, delivery, and postpartum care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Registered Nurse license.
• Experience in obstetric nursing and labor/delivery settings.
• Ability to interpret fetal heart tracings and assist deliveries.
• Strong assessment, monitoring, and emergency response skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to evidence-based, compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor mothers and infants across multiple L&D and mother-baby units.
• Interpret fetal heart tracings and support vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies with prompt and effective care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Educate families about labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
