KYC Quality Assurance - Onboarding Operational Control AVP

This role requires an experienced BSA/AML professional within the KYC Onboarding Operational Control team to perform high-quality 4-eye (QA) reviews of KYC for new clients, ensuring compliance with industry, regulatory, and Mizuho standards. The candidate will coordinate closely with business lines, Compliance, Audit, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough 4-eye reviews to ensure CDD and EDD regulatory requirements are met, with accurate and comprehensive documentation.
  • Collaborate with Front Office, Compliance, IT, and Operations to improve processes and update procedures.
  • Work with the Operational Control Manager and Compliance to clarify and refine policies.
  • Identify training needs to enhance team efficiency and quality.
  • Support departmental process improvements and implement changes.
  • Make effective decisions based on guidelines and policies.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to support onboarding documentation requirements.
  • Assist in audits, data remediation, and ad hoc requests.
  • Create and support reporting for Onboarding Control and teams.
Skills and Experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience in KYC processes and regulations, especially QA reviews of KYC files.
  • Strong knowledge of BSA/AML regulations.
  • Understanding of KYC market practices.
  • Judgment, urgency, accountability, and organizational skills.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team skills.
  • Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
Additional Information

The base salary ranges from $77,000 to $130,000, based on skills, experience, and other factors. The role offers a hybrid work model, competitive benefits, and a discretionary bonus.
