Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a KYC Analyst to join its FLOD team in Phoenix. You will review and verify client identities, conduct KYC reviews, and ensure regulatory compliance across new and existing relationships.

This role includes collecting updated information, performing ID&V, and coordinating with relationship teams and SLOD for timely resolution of outstanding items. Strong knowledge of KYC/AML rules is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 3 years' experience in Banking/Financial Services, KYC/AML rules, or Client Onboarding.
• High School Diploma or GED with 7 years' experience in Banking/Financial Services, KYC/AML rules, or Client Onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Performs ID&V, reviews client records for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to KYC requirements.
• Collects updated information from client and coordinates operational efforts to update records within guidelines.
• Conducts real-time QA audits on high-risk customers’ Enhanced Due Diligence packages for AML and Sanctions compliance.
• Restricts and closes deposit accounts for non-compliance as indicated by policy.
• May perform investigatory due diligence of alerts generated from KYC activities.
• Formulates responses or escalates issues under limited supervision.
• Ensures adherence to regulations, procedures, policies, and job-aids.
• Identifies potential process improvements and acts as a resource for team members.
• Coordinates communication among front/second line compliance teams, relationship teams, internal operations, and clients.
• Supports document management through creation and maintenance of job-aids/procedures.
• Participates in meetings, other duties, or special projects as assigned by management.
