Emerald Energy & Exploration Land Company seeks a Kentucky-licensed Professional Land Surveyor to lead and grow a new surveying division from the ground up, leveraging Emerald's existing client relationships.

The role combines hands-on surveying work with business development, requiring leadership to define services, pursue opportunities, deliver projects, and build a competent team in Corbin, KY.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky PLS license in good standing.
• Experience independently managing surveying assignments from field to deliverables.
• Strong knowledge of boundary surveying, deed interpretation and legal descriptions.
• Ability to develop client relationships and pursue opportunities.
• Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
• Commitment to accuracy, safety, and ethical practice.
• Willing to lead and grow a new surveying division.

Responsibilities

• Develop plan to launch and grow Emerald's surveying division.
• Define service offerings and market opportunities.
• Pursue opportunities with existing clients and establish new relationships.
• Prepare proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and schedules.
• Oversee surveying assignments including boundary, ROW, topographic, and construction surveys.
• Review deeds, plats, legal descriptions, and survey records.
• Maintain project records and sign/seal documents.
• Coordinate with other departments and staff.
• Recruit and supervise survey crews as workload grows.
• Represent Emerald in client meetings and business development activities.
