Job summary

Render is building a modern cloud platform for developers creating AI-native applications. As a Product Engineer on the Key/Value team, you will own full-stack KV projects, maintain the KV fleet, and scale the platform for millions of users, collaborating with design, product, and other engineers.

You will work with Go, TypeScript, React, Kubernetes, Postgres, Terraform, and Temporal, while participating in planning and on-call duties. Remote and hybrid options are available as Render grows.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience shipping software.
• Experience collaborating with product and design stakeholders.
• Strong sense of ownership and pragmatic decision making.
• Comfort with working in a distributed system.
• Experience operating a KV datastore at scale.
• Familiarity with modern tooling for software build and deploy processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Render KV fleet.
• Collaborate closely with design, product, other engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Help evolve and mature the KV product as it scales and increases in complexity.
• Participate in team planning, roadmapping, and goal-setting.
• Help shape team culture and practices as the company scales.
• Help evolve the KV product with new capabilities.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities with the rest of your team.
