Kutztown University invites applications for the position of part-time Assistant Men’s & Women’s Tennis Coach.

The Assistant Coach is responsible to work closely and cooperatively with and under the direction of the head coach to conduct a comprehensive, high quality collegiate athletic program within the guidelines of all rules and policies established by the department, the institution, the conference, the NCAA, the current CBA, and in accordance with the academic standards, stated mission and goals of Kutztown University and the Department of Athletics.

The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting in various phases of the men’s & women’s tennis program including recruitment of prospective student-athletes, promoting academic success of student-athletes, match preparation, directing and feeding drills in practice, organizing camps and clinics in support of Kutztown athletics, fund raising, adherence to NCAA rules and regulations, and general administrative duties.

It is expected that the coach establishes and maintains an atmosphere open to meeting the reasonable expectations of student-athletes and ensuring high quality customer service in a continuously improving environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate well and perform well in an interview and/or coaching demonstration.
• History of successful coaching experience or tournament level playing experience.
• Available afternoons and weekends.
• Cultural competency as it relates to our communities of color.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Proven ability to recruit within the NCAA/PSAC.
